You'll need these materials

Amsterdam Creative Wall Paint
Small paint rollers (narrow cylindrical shape, for stamping dots)
Paint roller tray
Pastel chalk, light gray

Prepare your wall

Surface: Make sure the wall is clean, dry, and even.
Planning: Measure the available space and mark the pattern’s position with dots.
Color selection: Create color swatches (e.g., A4) and tape them to the wall to see how light and space affect the colors.

Follow the steps, take your time, and discover how much fun it is to create something unique yourself.

1: Sketching the composition on the wall

Decide where and in what size you want to apply the design to the wall. Sketch the design freehand, or use a projector or grid technique. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll assume you’re sketching freehand. Use a pastel chalk to draw light, flowing lines along which the dots will be placed. Don’t worry about these lines; you can easily remove the pastel chalk afterward with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

2: Choose colors and pour the paint

Use the colors we recommend for this design or choose your own color palette. Pour the first color into the paint tray. Work from back to front in terms of colors. In this case, we’ll start with 505 Ultramarine Light. Amsterdam Creative Wall Paint is ready to use right away and doesn’t need to be thinned. Alternate colors by zone or create a gradient to give the mural a natural, organic effect.

3: Start stamping along the drawn lines

Dip the short side of the paint roller into the paint and stamp the first dots along the line. Press the roller straight against the wall and lift it straight up for a crisp, round impression. Start at a single point and gradually work your way along the line, with dots placed side by side and slightly overlapping.

4: Switch colors and continue developing the pattern

Pour a new color into the paint tray and use a clean roller, or rinse the roller in between colors. Stamp colors in spots over another color. This will give your design depth and make it more vibrant. Repeat this step for each color. Continue until the design is to your liking.

5: Evaluate the final result

Step back and take a critical look at your mural one last time. Touch up where necessary. Then arrange your furniture in the desired spots and enjoy your creation.
